HardieBacker board
Moisture sensitive areas like kitchens and bathrooms are particularly prone to the negative influence of water on tile backer boards. Whereas traditional materials such as plywood and plasterboard are liable to break or disintegrate when wet, have confidence that your job will last with a board that stays strong and firm, no matter how damp or wet it gets. Get the best protection against moisture damage when you use HardieBacker® tiling backer board. It’s the floor tiling backerboard of choice wherever superior performance is required.
With its unique cement formulation, HardieBacker cement board has no loose aggregates or fillers, making a strong and uniform tile backerboard.
HardieBacker EZ GRID® 6 mm for floors
Have confidence that your job will last – resisting rot, swelling and warping when exposed to moisture – when you choose 6 mm HardieBacker board. It’s the water-resistant cement backerboard that works perfectly with all types of tile or natural stone flooring.
Our light, easy-to-cut, no-mesh board features our exclusive EZ Grid® recessed pattern, making installation even easier. The slim-line 6 mm elevation prevents floor build up and minimizes the transition between floors.
HardieBacker 6 mm is the durable water resistant alternative to plywood for tiling on floors. Just like 12 mm HardieBacker board, it has excellent adhesive properties, ensuring that whatever ceramic or stone tile you use, it will hold strong with applied weights of up to 200 kg/m².
HardieBacker 12 mm cement board for walls
Use the durable, water-resistant alternative to plasterboard for tiling on walls. Our 12 mm thick cement backerboard for tile and stone doesn’t swell, rot or warp, so that your tiling work stays put. 12 mm HardieBacker board is strong: boasting the highest flexibility and up to 3x the compressive strength compared to competitive boards.
HardieBacker board fastens directly to any floor, wall or wooden frame and lines up perfectly with any dry wall, making it particularly quick and easy to install.
Use HardieBacker 12 mm on the floor when additional height is needed. Its fire resistant properties also make it the ideal choice of wall panelling behind a boiler, or even behind a multi-fuel or wood-burning stove.
